Desiccants

The Unit Pak Desiccant is offered in both a 5 gallon or 30 gallon pail made of Silica Gel and Indicating Silica Gel, Clay, Carbon and Molecular Sieve.   Desiccant is an exceptionally effective moisture absorbing agent and is an non-corrosive.  Desiccant is non-toxic, tasteless, odorless, and inert.  By sealing desiccants in your package it will hold the relative humidity below forty percent for a minimumof 18 months to two years.  Desiccants absorb moisture because water vapor is attracted to desiccant particles, which have microscopic pores and capillaries which retain water molecules.  This desiccant is made to absorb moisture, which eliminates the risk of mildew and rust damage. Desiccants are recommended for electronic components, machine parts, chemical, food, and clothing, and meet or exceed MIL Spec 3464, Type l and ll.

• Maintain the activity of moisture sensitive chemicals and the potency of pharmaeuticals.
• Prevent corrosion and related damage to machine parts, optical equipment, tools, cameras, medical instruments, and a variety of other products.
• Enhance the handling properties of hydroscopic materials, such as maintaining powders and seeds in a free-flowing state.
