Can LinersThe Linear Low Density Liners are made from linear low density recycled post industrial polyethylene resin. These Can Liners resist punctures, tears and zippering. Flat bottom seal provides strength across the bottom portion of the liners. High Density Can Liners are manufactured from high molecular weight, high density polyethylene, producing a strong liner even at lower gauges. Each bag is separated by a convenient, easy-tear perforation.
High Density vs. Linear Low Density Liners made with high density polyethylene resins typically hold more weight and withstand higher temperatures than linear low density liners do. Linear low polyethylene resin liners have high puncture and tear resistance properties. Linear low density liners are the ones that can stretch.
Mils and Microns It’s important to choose the liner that most accurately fits your application. A liner with too heavy or thick of a gauge wastes money, but to thin or lightweight of a liner may cause you to double bag, or ever worse, cause an accidental leak.
Selecting the right size liner for the container
For Containers not listed above: To determine the correct bag width for your container, use 1/2 of the outer circumference of your container. To determine the best bag length, use the height of the container, plus 1/2 of the diameter of the container bottom, plus a 3-inch allowance for overhang. For square or rectangular receptacles, use the diagonal of the container bottom rather than the diameter.
